What is the Penhold FCSS Yard Angel Program?

The Yard Angel Program aims to encourage neighbours to help one another and thereby build a caring, engaged community. Residents in need of yard help can place a sign in their front yard or in their window.

 Who is eligible to have a Yard Angel sign?

Residents who need assistance are eligible. This may be older adults, seniors, individuals with limited mobility, or someone recovering from surgery and/or sickness. The Yard Angels program relies on the goodwill of neighbourhood volunteers. Placement of a Yard Angel sign is not a guarantee of assistance.

 Who are Yard Angels?

Yard Angels can be anyone who voluntarily helps fellow community members needing assistance in their yard with maintenance like mowing the lawn, pulling weeds, or raking leaves.

How can I get a Yard Angel sign?
