We are so excited to launch an amazing addition to Community Christmas this year from Monarch Earthworks LTD. and Central Alberta Roofing & Siding Ltd. The Penhold RV Park will be a dazzling winter wonderland of lights for all to enjoy each night throughout the holiday season.
Come kick off the holiday season at Penhold's annual Community Christmas event. Community Christmas is a free event for all to attend. If you would like to donate to a great cause we will be accepting donations for the Red Deer Christmas Bureau (new unwrapped toys) the Food Bank (non-perishable food items) and the Town of Penhold Fee Assistance Program.

TIME: 6:00-8:00 p.m. (*Vendor Market will be open until 8:30 p.m.)

Monarch Winter Village
A new highlight to Christmas in Penhold is the Monarch Winter Village, a spectacular holiday display generously gifted to the community by Monarch Earthwork and sponsored by Central Alberta Roofing and the Town of Penhold.
Load up the family and drive or walk through this stunning light display showcasing more than 7.5 kilometres of lights throughout the RV Park, including a magical tunnel of lights and festive inflatables. The Monarch Winter Village was officially lit up during Community Christmas on Friday November 21 and will remain open each night until mid January.
Important note: This area is accessible to both vehicles and pedestrians.
Drivers: please obey 10 km/hour max speed and follow signs for path through the Winter Village.
Pedestrians: please remain on edge of lane and walk facing traffic.

Find all 4 large decorations shown on your card and you could win a prize!!! The special decorations are located throughout Penhold. Fill in the addresses on the lines beside each item and drop off entry in Santa’s mailbox or Town Office before December 15, 2025 and you could win a prize.

Holiday Donations
There is no charge to attend Community Christmas but, for anyone looking to donate to the Food Bank, Christmas Bureau or Town of Penhold Assistance Programs, we will have a donation bin available at Community Christmas.
Food Bank Donating Tips
- Pasta (canned or dry)
- Pasta sauces
- Bathroom tissue
- Diapers
- Canned goods (beans, soups, stews, etc)
- Personal hygiene products
- Canned vegetables and fruit
- Canned meats and fish
- Cereals (hot and cold)
- Infant foods and baby formula
- Meat alternatives (peanut butter, soy, assorted nuts)
When possible, choose unbreakable containers as glass jars don’t always survive transport.
The donation bin is available in the Town Office year round during regular business hours. Donations are sent to either the Red Deer Food Bank or Innisfail Food Bank, and Red Deer Christmas Bureau because those are the groups providing service to Penhold residents.
Santa Letters
Bring your Santa letters to Santa's mailbox at the Multiplex from November 24 to December 15 and Santa will send back a response letter. Please make sure your Penhold mailing address is on the letter in order to receive a response.
