Town of Penhold Public Hearing for Bylaw No. 843/2026
Monday April 13, 2026 6:00 p.m.
The Town of Penhold hereby gives notice of a Public Hearing to consider Bylaw No. 843/2026, a proposed amendment to the Land Use Bylaw.
Purpose of the Bylaw
Bylaw 843/2026 proposes to amend zoning designations currently defined under Bylaw 837/2025 for the following lands:
Affected Lands
Parcel “A”
- Lands north of Highway 42 and west of the current Commercial Highway (CH) parcel.
- Includes areas designated Urban Reserve (UR), Municipal Reserve/Public Utility Lot (MR/PUL), and the adjacent Public Utility Lot (PUL) to the west.
Parcel “B”
- Lands north of Oxford Boulevard, west of Waskasoo Avenue.
- Currently identified in part as Residential Manufactured Homes (RIM).
Proposed Amendments
- Parcel A:
- Subdivision and rezoning associated with lands west of the Suds Car Wash commercial development.
- Proposed rezoning to R1/R1N and R2/MR.
- Parcel B:
- Rezoning of the north side of Oxford Boulevard from R5 to permit:
- R3 – Townhomes
- R2 – Duplexes
- A Municipal Reserve setback around the active well head.

Public Hearing
The Public Hearing regarding Bylaw No. 843/2026 will be held Monday April 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. Members of the public may attend to provide input or ask questions regarding the proposed bylaw. Click here to learn more.
