Lincoln Street Rec. Centre is located at 144 Lincoln Street and is home to the outdoor rink and the splash park.
The Splash Park will be open for the 2025 season as of Friday May 30, 2025
During the summer months, the community has free access to the Penhold Splash Park located Lincoln Street, beside Jesse Duncan School, the Splash Park offers a much needed break from the summer heat. Children can enjoy playing in the various water apparatuses while parents supervise. The Splash Park usually opens mid-June and closes at the end of the long weekend of September (weather dependent).

11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily

The Outdoor Rink will open for the 2024-2025 Season on Tuesday December 17, 2024. Please check below for operating hours and other important information.
During the winter months the community can have free access to the outdoor rink and enjoy skating under the lights daily until 9:30 p.m. The Outdoor Rink and Rink Shelter are open seasonally when the weather permits. The ice at the Outdoor Rink usually opens in mid-December, depending on weather, will be maintained as weather permits.
Splash Park
The Penhold Splash Park project was a collaborative effort led by the Town of Penhold. The land for the Splash Park was donated by the Town of Penhold. Donations were made by Red Deer and District Foundation, Alberta Lotteries-Community Initiatives, and other various companies and individuals listed on the sign at the Splash Park. The splash park has a recycled rubber surface which was made possible through a grant from Alberta Recycling. The theme of the Splash Park is based on trains as they are a big part of Penhold's history.

The last day of operation for the 2024 season will be Monday September 9, 2024.
Please be considerate when using the Splash Park as this is a re-circulating water system and all water that goes down the drain must be treated. Unwanted substances can cause difficulties with the treatment system resulting in shut downs. If the system is down it is generally due to an unbalance in the chemical treatment system or clogged filters. Please be patient while the attendant rectifies the problem.
Rules
• Unsupervised area (the Splash Park Attendant is on site for Splash Park operations, not supervision)
• Parents do not leave children unattended
• No abusive language or objectional behaviour
• No littering, please use garbage cans
• No pets allowed, leashed or unleashed
• No wheeled items (ie: bicycles, strollers, skateboards, scooters) should be on splash pad)
Basketball
During the summer months, basketball nets are available for everyone to use at the outdoor rink. The rink's asphalt surface and mesh siding make it the perfect place to shoot hoops without chasing runaway balls.

Rental Information
The Lincoln Street Recreation area facility is available for rental year round.
The facility includes a kitchen area which consists of a stove, microwave, fridge and washrooms.
Cost of Rental:
$30.00 per day - weekdays
$60.00 per day - weekends
$10/hour if rental less than 4 hours
$30.00 per rental - tables & chairs
