The Community Services Department focuses on supporting children, youth and families to make positive life and behaviour choices by providing information, referral, and programming to address the needs of the community and ensure quality of life.

The Community Services Department follows and promotes the Penhold Community Vision and S.H.A.R.E.S. model, so that the children, youth and families of the community will feel more supported and have tools at their disposal that reinforce positive life and behaviour choices and to ensure that the community works together to foster strong, healthy adult/child relationships in hopes that the community will experience a sense of acceptance, belonging and community pride.

Penhold is a thriving and growing community with many programs and activities for you to participate in.  The Community Services Department is always interested in hearing your comments and suggestions... get involved in your community, become a volunteer! Nominate your 2011 Penhold Neighbour of the Year!  "Neighbour of the Year"

Penhold's "Neighbour of the Year" Award was created in order to extend recognition and appreciation to outstanding citizens within the community and its surrounding area.  The award will be presented to the successful candidate at the Community Breakfast scheduled in May 2012.

Deadline for Nominations is May 1st, 2012.  Please drop nomination forms off at the Town of Penhold Municipal Office, #1 Waskasoo Avenue, mail to Box 10, Penhold, AB T0M 1R0, or fax to 403-886-4039.
