Being centrally located on Highway 2A between Red Deer and Innisfail, Penhold is experiencing rapid growth and fast becoming a community of choice for people seeking small town living with big-city access. Our population is 2114.
Our community is situated only minutes away from a wide variety of outdoor recreation and retail shopping experiences. From the majestic Rocky Mountains, area lakes to the varied consumer shopping in a trade area of more than 250,000 people in Central Alberta, we truly have many opportunities to experience in our region.
Penhold boosts a unique relationship with local schools and access to affordable housing that makes our community the perfect place to raise a family.
The Town supports many community associations that provide recreational and cultural programs and service from which we all can benefit from. These include wide open spaces, play at the Penhold Splash Park, enjoy trails and playgrounds, participate in community events and local programs, start a business, and meet wonderful people.
The Town of Penhold is pleased to announce our new project: the Penhold Regional Multiplex. This project is currently being built on approx. 80 acres of recreational land in the northeast area of town. The Regional Multiplex offers a new arena, a library/lobby and a gymnasium.
